Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in Sweden for a working visit, during which he announced plans for a significant defense package aimed at enhancing Ukraine’s military capabilities.
In a statement shared on social media, Zelensky emphasized the importance of the upcoming package, which includes a commitment to procure Gripen fighter jets. He noted that this move would substantially improve the effectiveness of Ukraine’s air force.
During his visit, Zelensky is scheduled to meet with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson. The discussions will also involve representatives from Sweden’s defense industry, reflecting a collaborative approach to strengthening Ukraine’s defense posture.
