Intense Combat Reported in Ukraine as Russian Forces Sustain Heavy Losses

On June 15, Ukrainian military reports indicated that there were 228 combat engagements between Ukrainian and Russian forces. The Russian military reportedly focused its efforts on the Lyman, Pokrovsk, and Huliaipole directions, suffering significant casualties with 1,230 personnel lost.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine detailed that on the same day, Russian forces launched two missile strikes, deploying 74 missiles, and conducted 82 airstrikes, releasing 226 guided bombs. Additionally, the Russian military utilized 9,297 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,726 shelling incidents targeting both civilian areas and Ukrainian military positions, including 49 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems.

Ukrainian aviation, missile troops, and artillery targeted six concentration areas of Russian personnel and six drone command points during the reporting period.

Frontline Situation

In the Northeastern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, Russian forces conducted 56 shelling operations against Ukrainian positions and populated areas, including one attack using a multiple launch rocket system. Three assault actions were also recorded.

In the Southeastern Slobozhansky direction, Russian troops reportedly attacked Ukrainian positions five times near the settlements of Starytsia, Izbytske, Vilcha, Vovchansk, and Vovchanski Khutory.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces launched four attacks towards Kupiansk, Kindrashivka, Kurylivka, and Podoliv.

In the Lyman direction, Russian troops attempted to breach Ukrainian defenses 23 times, targeting areas around the settlements of Zarichne, Lyman, Novoselivka, Drobysheve, Dibrivka, Novomykhailivka, Novoiehorivka, Ozerne, and Yampil.

In the Sloviansk direction, 12 assaults were reported towards Rai-Oleksandrivka and in the areas of Ryznivka, Kryva Luka, Zakitne, and Kalenyky.

No offensive actions were noted in the Kramatorsk direction.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian forces executed 12 attacks in the vicinity of Illinivka, Pleshchiyivka, Stepaniivka, and Vylne, as well as towards Bilitske, Novoselivka, and Kostiantynivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defense forces repelled 25 assault attempts by Russian troops targeting settlements including Dobropillia, Novyi Donbas, Bilitske, Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Zatyshok, Shevchenko, Myrne, Hryshyne, Serhiivka, Muravka, and Novopavlivka.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, Russian forces attacked four times towards Novoselivka, Kalynivske, Vyshneve, and Oleksandrovhrad.

In the Huliaipole direction, Russian troops launched 22 attacks towards Zlahoda, Dobropillia, Radisne, Rivnopillia, Vozdvizhivka, Huliaipole, Dolynka, Vyrkhnia Tersa, Ternuvatyi, Shyrokyi, and Charivne.

In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian forces halted five attempts by Russian troops to advance in the areas of Pavlivka, Stepnohirska, and Stepove.

In the Dnipro direction, Russian forces attacked towards Antonivka.

No signs of offensive group formations by Russian troops were detected in the Volyn and Polissia directions.

Overall, Russian military losses for the day totaled 1,230 personnel, alongside the destruction of one tank, five armored fighting vehicles, 36 artillery systems, two multiple launch rocket systems, seven air defense systems, three ground robotic systems, 2,062 drones, 50 missiles, 417 vehicles, and four units of specialized equipment.

The latest military reports from Ukraine indicate substantial combat activity on June 15, with Russian forces experiencing significant losses. Ukrainian defense operations successfully repelled numerous assaults across various fronts, highlighting ongoing military engagements in the region.
