Ukraine Plans to Extend Drone Strike Range Against Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that the country’s drones will soon be capable of striking targets over 3,000 kilometers away. This development is part of Ukraine’s strategy to increase its offensive capabilities against Russia.

In an interview with ‘TSN. Tyzhden’, Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine’s defense industry and armed forces are actively working to enhance the range of their drone operations. He stated, “We are at a stage where our defense industry and production have started this process – bringing the war back to Russia. They hit us every day, and we will respond accordingly. Each day, we will increase our capabilities.”

Zelensky highlighted a recent successful strike on a refinery in the Tyumen region of Russia, which is located over 2,000 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. He noted that the drones used for this operation had a flight path of approximately 2,500 kilometers. “These new drones will reach over 3,000 kilometers. We are aware of where their military factories, oil depots, and gas storage facilities are located, and we need tools that can operate at greater distances,” he added.

The president remarked that Ukraine has begun to inflict significant damage on Russian targets this year, describing it as an element of justice that has yet to be realized globally regarding Russia.

This announcement follows Zelensky’s earlier statement on June 20, when he revealed that Ukrainian drones had successfully attacked oil processing facilities in Tyumen, marking a significant escalation in Ukraine’s military capabilities.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has revealed plans to enhance the range of Ukrainian drones to over 3,000 kilometers, enabling more extensive strikes against Russian targets. This initiative aims to strengthen Ukraine's military response amid ongoing conflict.
