Zelensky Discusses Security Partnership with Jordan’s King Abdullah II

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with King Abdullah II of Jordan to explore potential security collaborations. The discussions focused on enhancing defense mechanisms amid ongoing regional challenges.

Zelensky emphasized Ukraine’s readiness to share its expertise in defending against drone and missile attacks, drawing from the country’s extensive experience during the ongoing conflict with Russia. He stated, “Without a unified system, it is impossible to ensure comprehensive protection for people and critical infrastructure. We have developed such a system over the past five years of full-scale war, particularly against persistent Russian strikes utilizing Iranian drones.”

The Ukrainian leader expressed gratitude to King Abdullah for his openness to dialogue, highlighting the importance of mutual support in strengthening defenses. Zelensky’s visit to Jordan follows his earlier engagements in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar, where security issues were also a priority.

As Zelensky continues to forge international partnerships, the discussions with Jordan mark a significant step in Ukraine’s efforts to enhance regional security cooperation.

President Zelensky's meeting with King Abdullah II of Jordan aimed at strengthening security ties, particularly in defense against drone and missile threats. This dialogue reflects Ukraine's ongoing strategy to build international alliances amid its conflict with Russia.
