Ukrainian Drone Strikes Target Russian Oil Infrastructure in Taganrog and Crimea

In the early hours of May 30, Ukrainian drone forces targeted a shadow fleet tanker and an oil depot in Taganrog, Russia, as well as a maritime oil terminal in the annexed region of Feodosia, Crimea. This operation underscores Ukraine’s ongoing efforts to disrupt Russian supply lines amidst the ongoing conflict.

Major Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, commander of the drone forces, shared details on social media, stating that the night was particularly active for their units. He noted, “The free-spirited Ukrainian Bird of the Drone Forces worked throughout the night, hitting 23 military targets deep within enemy territory. The oil infrastructure was not an exception, with a variety of targets struck, including Iskander missiles and two Tu-142 aircraft.”

The strikes were coordinated by a newly established Deep Strike Center within the drone forces, which aims to enhance operational efficiency. Among the facilities hit was the Kurganneftproduct oil depot in Taganrog, alongside the maritime terminal in Crimea.

Earlier reports indicated that the drone attacks caused significant damage to port infrastructure in Taganrog, leading to fires on both the tanker and fuel storage facilities. Additionally, the drone forces successfully destroyed an Iskander missile system and two Tu-142 aircraft at a military airfield in Taganrog.

Ukrainian drone forces executed a series of strikes on Russian oil infrastructure, targeting facilities in Taganrog and Crimea. This operation reflects Ukraine's strategic focus on disrupting Russian military capabilities.
