On April 15, Ukrainian air defense forces repelled a significant missile and drone attack from Russian military forces, targeting multiple locations across the country.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, a total of 382 aerial targets were detected and tracked during the assault. This included 20 Kh-101 cruise missiles launched from the Caspian Sea and one Iskander-K missile from Russia’s Rostov region. Additionally, 361 drones of various types, including Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas, were deployed from several regions in Russia, including Bryansk and Kursk.
By 10 PM, Ukrainian defenses had successfully intercepted or neutralized 369 enemy targets. This comprised 19 Kh-101 cruise missiles, one Iskander-K missile, and 349 drones. The attack resulted in confirmed hits at six locations, with debris from downed missiles and drones landing in 12 different areas.
The defense efforts involved a coordinated response from aviation units, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups from Ukraine’s defense forces.
