The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has announced that the country’s first guided aerial bomb has successfully completed testing and is now ready for deployment. Minister Mykhailo Fedorov shared this development via Telegram.
Fedorov highlighted that the bomb, developed by Brave1, represents a significant advancement in Ukrainian military technology, having taken 17 months to create. It features a unique design tailored to the realities of modern warfare and includes a warhead weighing 250 kilograms. The Ministry has already procured an initial experimental batch, with pilots currently training to integrate this new weapon into real combat scenarios.
“We continue to develop Ukrainian high-tech solutions for the front lines. This is not a copy of Western or Soviet designs, but an original development by Ukrainian engineers aimed at effectively targeting fortifications, command posts, and other enemy objectives from tens of kilometers away,” Fedorov stated.
He further emphasized that Ukraine is shifting from importing military solutions to developing its own high-tech weaponry. This transition is expected to systematically strengthen the country’s defense forces and secure a technological edge on the battlefield.
“Soon, Ukrainian guided bombs will be operational against enemy targets. We are scaling solutions that enhance range and accuracy, fundamentally changing the dynamics of modern warfare,” he added.
