Ukraine and Lithuania have announced the initiation of a collaborative grant program named Brave Lithuania, aimed at advancing defense technologies and fostering innovative developments. This program seeks to enhance cooperation between the defense innovation ecosystems of both nations and expedite the creation of technologies that address the current demands of modern warfare.
The implementation of this initiative will be overseen by the Ukrainian state defense technology cluster, Brave1. The memorandum of understanding was signed on June 1 in Vilnius during the second NATO-Ukraine Defence Innovators Forum, which was organized by NATO, the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defense, and Brave1.
Brave Lithuania will support both Ukrainian and Lithuanian projects in key areas of defense technology, including:
- Unmanned systems
- Electronic warfare capabilities
- Artificial intelligence
- Communication systems
Additionally, the program will host joint events for developers, aimed at exploring new technological solutions and fostering partnerships between innovators from both countries.
The Brave Lithuania program marks a significant step in enhancing defense collaboration between Ukraine and Lithuania, focusing on innovative technologies crucial for modern military needs. This initiative not only aims to strengthen bilateral ties but also to accelerate the development of critical defense capabilities.
