Severe weather conditions in Ukraine on April 26 resulted in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to two others. Emergency services are currently addressing the aftermath across 13 regions of the country.
In Cherkasy, one person died when a tree fell on an all-terrain vehicle. Another fatality occurred in Zakarpattia, also due to a falling tree. Additionally, a child was injured in Poltava when a tree collapsed.
Power outages have affected 1,121 localities. The State Emergency Service (SES) has conducted 176 operations to clear fallen trees and restore services. A total of 647 rescuers and 150 units of equipment have been deployed to assist in these efforts.
According to DTEK, nearly 60,000 customers in Kyiv Oblast are without electricity due to severe hail, rain, and strong winds, which have damaged 80 medium-voltage power lines.
