Intense Combat Reported in Eastern Ukraine: 151 Clashes in 24 Hours

In a significant escalation of hostilities, Ukrainian forces reported 151 combat engagements with Russian troops over the past day. The majority of these confrontations occurred in the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka directions, highlighting ongoing tensions in the region.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian forces conducted two airstrikes and dropped five guided bombs in the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions. Additionally, they launched 82 artillery strikes against Ukrainian positions and civilian areas, including four attacks using multiple rocket launch systems. Three assaults by enemy troops were also documented.

In the South-Slobozhansk direction, Russian forces made three attempts to breach Ukrainian defensive lines near Vovchansk Khutory and towards Neskuchne and Bochkove. Meanwhile, in the Kupiansk direction, two attacks targeted the area around Petropavlivka.

Efforts by Russian troops to penetrate Ukrainian defenses were noted in the Lyman direction, where they launched two assaults near Hrekivka and towards Lyman. In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled three attempts by the enemy to advance near Yampol and towards Rai-Oleksandrivka.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy executed 22 attacks in the vicinity of several settlements, including Kostiantynivka, Oleksandro-Shultine, and Pleshchiyivka. The Pokrovsk direction saw Ukrainian forces halt 33 enemy assaults in areas such as Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, and Novooleksandrivka.

Further engagements were reported in the Oleksandrivka direction, where the enemy attacked ten times near Kalynivske, Verbove, and Zlahoda. In the Huliaipole direction, there were 12 attacks targeting settlements including Huliaipilske and Zelenе.

In the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces attempted to breach defenses twice near Shcherbaky and Stepnohirs’k. Additionally, four unsuccessful assaults were noted in the Prydniprovsk direction towards the Antonivskyi Bridge.

Ukrainian aviation, missile troops, and artillery struck back effectively, targeting two artillery pieces, one UAV command post, and seven areas where enemy personnel and equipment were concentrated.

Recent reports indicate a surge in combat activity in Eastern Ukraine, with 151 clashes recorded in a single day. Ukrainian forces are actively engaging Russian troops across multiple fronts, reflecting the ongoing conflict's intensity.
