Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called for the European Union to expedite the process of Ukraine’s accession to the bloc. His remarks came during an intergovernmental conference in Brussels, where he emphasized that Ukraine is ready to engage in all negotiation clusters.
“We believe that one of the strongest responses Europe can provide to Russian aggression is to speed up our accession process and open the clusters more quickly,” Zelensky stated. He expressed concern that Ukraine often has to exert greater effort than other nations to advance towards EU membership.
According to Zelensky, Ukraine has earned the right to move forward more rapidly in its EU aspirations. “This political decision is necessary for Europe today. We are ready to open all clusters. We have done our part, and everyone in Europe knows this,” he added.
