Ukrainian Forces Disrupt Key Russian Supply Route in Crimean Offensive

Ukrainian defense forces have successfully targeted a crucial logistics route used by Russian troops, effectively crippling their supply lines from the temporarily occupied Crimea. In a coordinated operation on the night of June 11, military units struck a vital bridge in the town of Armyansk, rendering it unusable.

The operation involved precise strikes that targeted a concentration of up to 50 Russian trucks carrying ammunition and fuel, which were en route to the front lines in the direction of Huliaipole. The bridge was incapacitated using advanced FirePoint systems, eliminating the need for further strikes as the logistics pathway for Russian forces has been thoroughly disrupted.

This successful operation was executed by a collaborative effort from the multi-domain center “Phalanx,” which includes the 1st Separate Assault Battalion named after Dmytro Kotsiubailo, the 475th Separate Assault Battalion “CODE 9.2,” and the Special Operations Center “Alpha” of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). The mission aimed to weaken the 37th and 64th motorized rifle brigades of the Russian military, which are currently engaged in combat against Ukrainian defenders.

Ukrainian military officials emphasized that they are reclaiming territory not at the cost of lives but through systematic and coordinated efforts, announcing plans for continued strikes against Russian positions.

In recent weeks, Ukrainian forces have intensified their attacks on supply routes deep within occupied territories. Russian officials have acknowledged that fuel trucks have failed to reach Crimea due to a series of targeted drone strikes. A key route for the Russian military, the R-280 “Novorosiya” highway along the Azov Sea, which connects Rostov-on-Don with occupied Mariupol, Melitopol, and Crimea, has become increasingly dangerous for Russian logistics.

Continuous drone operations have led to a more than 70% reduction in military transport along this land corridor, which previously served as an alternative to the vulnerable Kerch Bridge. Reports indicate that the area is now littered with destroyed fuel tankers, illustrating the effectiveness of Ukrainian strikes.

Ukrainian forces are utilizing artificial intelligence to navigate and evade Russian air defense systems. According to the Ministry of Defense, the disrupted route to Crimea is a result of AI technology, with advanced drones equipped with specialized computers and optical cameras. These systems allow drones to scan terrain in real-time and compare it with satellite imagery, enabling them to navigate effectively even when navigation systems are compromised.

Additionally, AI technology autonomously identifies specific enemy military vehicles, distinguishing them from decoys and accurately guiding drones for precise strikes. Currently, American AI-equipped drones such as the Hornet, along with domestic models like the Morrigan, are being actively deployed for operations up to 150-200 kilometers away, alongside remote mining technologies.

Ukrainian forces have effectively disrupted a key Russian supply route by targeting a bridge in Armyansk, crippling logistics from Crimea. The operation showcases the integration of advanced technology and coordinated military efforts aimed at weakening enemy capabilities.
