Ukraine is expected to retain its military advantage for at least the next six months, according to Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov. In an interview with TSN, Fedorov outlined recent changes in procurement procedures that have enhanced the quality of drones and improved the logistics of weapon supplies.
These adjustments have contributed to a new operational reality on the battlefield, favoring Ukraine’s defense forces. Fedorov remarked, “The Russians, as shown in previous years, adapt and try to seize the initiative. However, we will definitely have the upper hand in the coming six months.”
He also pointed to the recent barrage of ballistic missile strikes on central Kyiv as indicative of the Kremlin’s desperation and the challenges faced by President Vladimir Putin.
In related developments, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the Reuters Next summit on June 16, stating that Russian forces have attempted offensives in twelve directions but have achieved no significant gains. Currently, the enemy is making slow progress in only two or three areas, while Ukrainian defenders are experiencing greater success in several locations.
Ukraine's military leadership asserts that the country will maintain its advantage on the battlefield for the next six months, driven by improved procurement and operational strategies. Recent Russian offensives have failed to secure significant gains, highlighting the resilience of Ukrainian forces.
