On May 15, Ukrainian defense forces engaged in 263 combat incidents against Russian military units, according to the latest operational report from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, Russian forces carried out three airstrikes using eight guided bombs and launched 57 shelling attacks, including one from a multiple rocket launcher. Additionally, one assault action by the enemy was recorded.
In the Southern Slobozhansky region, Russian troops attacked ten times targeting areas such as Izbytske, Ternove, Novovasylivka, and regions around Starytsia, Lyman, Synelnykove, and Vovchansky Khutory.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces attempted to breach defenses 13 times, attacking near Stavky, Zarichne, Yampil, Novyi Myr, Ozerne, and towards Novoserhiivka, Druzhliubivka, Lyman, and Dibrova.
Furthermore, in the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy launched 23 attacks in the vicinity of Illinivka, Pleshchiyivka, Sofiivka, Vilyke, Stepanivka, Toretske, Ivanopillia, and towards Kostiantynivka, Novopavlivka, Bilitske, and Mykolaypillia.
The report also indicated that Ukrainian forces halted 35 assault actions by Russian troops in the Pokrovsk direction, targeting settlements including Zatyshok, Novooleksandrivka, Rodynske, Bilitske, Hryshyne, Serhiivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Novopavlivka, Filia, Hanniivka, and Molodetske.
Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi noted on May 8 that Russian forces had intensified their offensive actions across the front. He highlighted that the Pokrovsk direction remains particularly tense, with approximately 106,000 personnel concentrated by Russia.
Analysts from the American Institute for the Study of War reported on May 10 that Russian forces have not made any significant progress on the battlefield over the past year, while Ukrainian military units have achieved notable successes.
