On April 19, Ukrainian defense forces reported 84 combat engagements with Russian military units across various fronts, according to an operational update from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, Russian forces conducted airstrikes using four missiles and launched 49 artillery attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian positions, three of which involved multiple rocket launch systems.
In the Kupiansk area, Russian troops made three attempts to improve their positions near the settlements of Kyvsharivka and Radkivka, with one engagement ongoing. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled an attempt by the invaders to advance towards the settlement of Hrekivka in the Lyman direction.
Furthermore, in the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces attempted to displace Ukrainian troops from their positions 32 times in areas including Bilitske, Rodynske, Dorožne, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, and towards Novooleksandrivka and Shevchenko. Two engagements are still in progress.
In the Huliaipole direction, Ukrainian defense forces successfully thwarted 16 Russian attacks in the regions of Dobropillia, Zelenе, Sviatopetrivka, Tsvitkove, Zaliznychne, Pryliuky, and Olenokostyantynivka, as well as towards the settlements of Verkhnia Tersa, Huliaipilske, and Hirke. Additionally, the enemy conducted airstrikes in the areas of Vozdvizhenska, Huliaipilske, Liubytske, and Mykilske, with five engagements ongoing.
On April 15, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, noted that the Russian military had intensified its offensive actions with the change in weather, conducting operations along a front line that spans approximately 1,200 kilometers. The most active areas in March included Oleksandrivskyi, Pokrovskyi, Kostiantynivskyi, and Lyman directions.
