Reports indicate a troubling trend in which combat drones equipped with explosive payloads are being discovered at significant distances from national borders, raising concerns about civilian safety.
Recently, an FPV drone armed with an explosive was located on the rooftop of a high-rise building, over 30 kilometers from the nearest border. In a separate incident, a similar device was found on the street.
According to military advisor Serhii Beskrestnov, these FPV drones are deployed by the Russian-made “Herbera” drone.
In light of these discoveries, Beskrestnov has urged the public to exercise caution. He advised, “Please warn children and do not attempt to handle unfamiliar objects,” emphasizing the potential dangers posed by these devices.
The “Herbera” is a Russian drone designed for dropping small munitions in both civilian and frontline areas. It is considered a cost-effective imitation of the more advanced “Shahed” drones.
The discovery of combat drones with explosives far from borders highlights a growing safety concern for civilians. Military officials are urging caution as these devices pose significant risks.
