In the early hours of June 24, a drone strike targeted the main power substation in Sevastopol, which distributes electricity from the Balaklava Thermal Power Plant. This information was confirmed by Robert ‘Madyar’ Brovda, the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Drone Operations.
Brovda reported that the strike successfully incapacitated the substation, known as PS 330/220/110/35kV ‘Sevastopol.’ He noted, “There won’t be a show, but as it turns out, there isn’t much light either.” The operation was executed by operators from the 1st Operational Center of the Drone Forces, coordinated by the newly established Deep Strike Center.
Throughout the night, drones targeted 48 operational and planned military objectives in the southern occupied territories. Additionally, the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces, in collaboration with Resistance Movement members, destroyed a strategically significant railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal near the village of Rozdolne.
This operation was carried out in two phases. On the night of June 22, drones disabled one of the spans of the bridge, and the following night, they struck the remaining structure and specialized railway equipment that Russian forces were using to repair the line.
A drone strike on June 24 disabled a key power substation in Sevastopol, disrupting electricity distribution. The operation was part of a broader campaign targeting military objectives in occupied southern territories.
