Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Armenia on May 3, where he engaged in a series of discussions focused on concluding the ongoing war, accelerating EU financial support, and enhancing Ukraine’s air defense capabilities.
In a statement, Zelenskyy outlined the primary objectives of his meetings ahead of the European Political Community summit. He emphasized three critical tasks that require coordination with European partners.
The first task involves working towards a dignified end to the conflict. Zelenskyy briefed his counterparts on the current state of diplomacy, potential outcomes, and planned engagements.
“Joint efforts are essential to intensify diplomacy and maintain pressure on the aggressor. Russia must end this war. Thank you to everyone standing with Ukraine,”
the president stated.
The second task identified by Zelenskyy is the implementation of a European missile support package for Ukraine, amounting to €90 billion, which is being expedited.
Lastly, the third task focuses on transforming Ukraine’s air defense system, ensuring energy support, and collaborating with partners in the energy sector.
“We are actively preparing for the upcoming heating season and diversifying the necessary support. I informed about all needs for protection and recovery. I thank every partner willing to assist,”
Zelenskyy concluded.
