Recent attacks by Russian forces on Kyiv have resulted in significant casualties and damage to infrastructure. Four individuals have been confirmed dead, while over fifty others sustained injuries during the assault.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were impacted across several districts, including Podilskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Obolonskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Solomianskyi, Holosiivskyi, Pecherskyi, and Darnytskyi.
In the Podilskyi district, a nine-story residential building suffered partial destruction of its upper floors, with reports indicating that individuals may be trapped under the rubble. Currently, five people are known to have been injured, and rescue operations are ongoing. Additionally, fires broke out in vehicles in open areas, and a four-story educational building was engulfed in flames, along with vehicles and a warehouse at a municipal enterprise.
In Obolonskyi, a fire erupted in a construction site trailer as a result of the attack. The Shevchenkivskyi district experienced partial damage to the façade and roof of a nine-story residential building.
The Darnytskyi district reported a fire at a gas station due to the combined strike. In Solomianskyi, a fire occurred in an apartment on the 16th floor of a twenty-story residential building, while a private house on private property also caught fire. Another fire was reported on the ninth floor of a twenty-four-story residential building, where rescuers managed to free one individual.
In Holosiivskyi, a fire was recorded at a commercial site, leading to damage on the second and third floors of the building. Other incidents included fires in several vehicles, office spaces, and temporary structures, as well as the destruction of a business center.
The Sviatoshynskyi district saw damage to the façade and window glazing of a five-story residential building, with minor roof damage reported at another nine-story building. In Pecherskyi, minor damage was noted at an unfinished construction site. Emergency services are currently on-site to manage the situation and provide assistance.
