Emergency Response Following Deadly Drone and Missile Strikes in Kyiv

Authorities in Kyiv have implemented road closures across several streets in the capital following a night of drone and missile attacks that resulted in four fatalities and numerous injuries.

According to Oleksiy Biloshytskyi, the first deputy head of the Patrol Police Department, the following streets have been affected:

  • Karpatska Sich Street (from the intersection with Sumskaya Street to the intersection with Vasyl Zhukovskyi Street);
  • Okhtyrskyi Lane (from the intersection with Mykhailo Maksymovych Street to the intersection with Kholodnoyarska Street);
  • Naberezhno-Khreshchatytska Street (from the intersection with Nyzhniy Val Street to the intersection with Turivska Street);
  • Verkhovynna Street (from the intersection with Sviatoshynska Street to the intersection with Anatolii Petrytskyi Street);
  • Haret Dzhonsa Street (from the intersection with Dorohizhytska Street to the intersection with Derevliana Street);
  • Dehtiarivska Street (from the intersection with Starozhytomyrskyi Lane to the intersection with Zoolohichna Street);
  • Zoolohichna Street (from the intersection with Beresteiskyi Avenue to the intersection with Dehtiarivska Street).

The police have urged residents to take these changes into account when planning their travel routes.

In the early hours of June 2, the capital was targeted by enemy forces using drones and missiles, leading to significant destruction and chaos. Reports indicate that four individuals lost their lives, while 58 others sustained injuries. Fires and structural damage were recorded in seven districts of the city. Notably, a nine-story residential building in the Podilskyi district experienced partial collapse, and the second and third floors of a polyclinic in the Holosiivskyi district were destroyed. Additionally, debris struck the upper levels of a 15-story residential building in the Solomianskyi district, and a fire broke out on the 7th and 8th floors of a 24-story building.

Following a series of drone and missile strikes in Kyiv, authorities have closed multiple streets as emergency services respond to the aftermath. The attacks resulted in four deaths and extensive damage across several districts.
