Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reported that Russian forces are intensifying their assaults on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure, rather than achieving success on the battlefield. This statement was made during a joint press conference with Moldova’s President Maia Sandu in Kyiv on April 26.
Zelensky emphasized that the focus of Russian attacks is primarily on energy facilities, logistics, water supply systems, and transportation infrastructure, including railways and bridges. He suggested that these actions are intended to exert pressure on Ukraine’s international partners and influence ongoing negotiations.
Additionally, Zelensky announced plans for Ukraine to channel international assistance towards enhancing its domestic defense production and safeguarding its energy network.
President Zelensky has condemned the escalation of Russian attacks on Ukraine's critical infrastructure, asserting that these tactics aim to undermine international support. He also outlined Ukraine's strategy to bolster its defense capabilities with international aid.
