Ukraine is set to experience warm temperatures in the upcoming days, with rain and thunderstorms forecasted for several regions including the west, north, central, and south.
The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center (Ukrgydrometcentr) reports that from May 7 to May 9, brief showers and thunderstorms are likely in various areas. Specifically, rain is expected in the western part of the country on May 7, followed by the Zhytomyr, Kyiv, and Vinnytsia regions on May 8. By May 9, northern and central regions, as well as Zakarpattia and Prykarpattia, will also see similar weather.
Nighttime temperatures are predicted to range from 8 to 15 degrees Celsius. On May 7, daytime highs will reach between 25 and 30 degrees, particularly in the southern and southeastern parts of Ukraine. For May 8 and 9, daytime temperatures will be milder, ranging from 16 to 24 degrees.
The prevailing wind will be from the southwest at speeds of 7 to 12 meters per second, with gusts in the western regions reaching 15 to 20 meters per second.
In Kyiv, the weather on Thursday is expected to remain dry, with nighttime temperatures of 13 to 15 degrees and daytime highs up to 26 degrees. Winds will continue from the southwest at similar speeds.
Friday’s forecast for the capital indicates a dry night with temperatures remaining in the 13 to 15-degree range, while the day may bring brief showers, with highs around 23 degrees. Winds will again be from the southwest.
Saturday will see intermittent showers throughout the day in Kyiv, with nighttime temperatures dropping to 9 to 11 degrees and daytime highs reaching 18 degrees. Winds will shift to the northwest.
