A Ukrainian-Slovak company, Wings&Quadro, part of the National Association of Defense Industry of Ukraine (NAUDI), has introduced a new combat drone known as the Swan-X 20. This development marks a significant advancement in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology tailored for modern warfare.
The Swan-X 20 is classified as a medium-class heavy platform designed to execute specialized missions under challenging conditions. It is capable of carrying a payload of up to 20 kilograms and can operate at a tactical range of 250 kilometers, with potential enhancements allowing for an extended range of up to 300 kilometers. The drone can reach maximum speeds of 160 kilometers per hour and has a flight endurance of up to 95 minutes.
This UAV is a product of Ukrainian-Slovak cooperation, focusing on strike capabilities over considerable distances. The design emphasizes high range, maneuverability, and operational effectiveness in environments with restricted access.
Additionally, a variant with a gasoline engine is under development, which will be able to carry a payload of up to 50 kilograms and operate at distances exceeding 300 kilometers, thereby broadening the operational scope of the platform.
The Swan-X 20 is currently preparing for the codification process, which will facilitate its scaling and subsequent supply to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
The Swan-X 20 drone, developed by Wings&Quadro, represents a significant enhancement in Ukraine's military capabilities. With advanced features and a focus on long-range operations, it is poised for integration into the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
