In the early hours of April 19, Russian forces launched a significant drone assault on the Ukrainian city of Chernihiv, employing Shahed-type drones. This attack resulted in confirmed strikes within the city, leading to injuries among residents.
Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, the head of the Chernihiv Military Administration, reported that the city was under intense attack from enemy drones. He stated, “The city is experiencing a massive attack from hostile Shaheds. There have been confirmed drone crashes in the city.”
Subsequently, Bryzhynskyi provided updates indicating that the drone strikes caused fires in two private homes and damaged an educational institution. He added, “There are casualties, and the information is being clarified.”
