“I believe we will meet again tomorrow with the president,” Zelensky stated. He added that their teams would engage in various technical discussions throughout the day, highlighting the importance of these meetings.
Earlier, Zelensky had shared that he had a separate conversation with Trump during the summit and released a photo of their encounter. The G7 summit, taking place from June 15 to 17, focuses on several critical issues, including peace negotiations to end the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, as well as the situation surrounding Iran, particularly regarding a potential agreement with the United States and the opening of the Strait of Hormuz.
President Zelensky is scheduled to participate in a working session of the G7 on June 16. He arrived at the summit on Tuesday morning, where he was greeted by French President Emmanuel Macron. The day before, Zelensky had a phone call with Trump, confirming their plans to meet in person during the summit.
