Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently met with King Felipe VI of Spain at the royal residence of Zarzuela. This meeting underscores the ongoing diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Spain, particularly in light of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

In a statement shared on social media, President Zelensky expressed gratitude for Spain’s support, stating, “We appreciate Spain’s assistance to our people who have been forced to leave their homes due to the war. I thank His Majesty and the entire Spanish people for their unwavering support for Ukraine throughout these years of Russian aggression.”

The meeting, which took place during Zelensky’s visit to Spain on March 18, also included a bilateral discussion with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. Following their talks, the leaders signed several agreements aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two nations.
