On June 21 and into the early hours of June 22, Ukrainian defense units conducted strikes on several key Russian military facilities, including a communications center near Moscow and a factory producing electronics for Russian Iskander and X-101 missiles. This information was reported by the General Staff of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, the communications center in Dubna, located in the Moscow region, experienced significant smoke emissions, with assessments of the damage still ongoing.
Additionally, Ukrainian forces targeted command and observation posts in the Ilok-Penkovka area of the Belgorod region and near Pokrovsk in Donetsk Oblast.
Further analysis confirmed that on June 21, the infrastructure of the Caucasus port in Krasnodar Krai, along with two ferry vessels, were hit. These facilities are crucial for supplying Russian forces operating in southern Ukraine.
The General Staff also reported strikes on a factory in Voronezh that manufactures electronics for Russian missiles, specifically the Iskander and X-101 systems.
Military officials stated that high-precision air-launched cruise missiles were employed in these operations. The targeted facility is considered a critical component of the Russian military-industrial complex, producing electronics essential for missile systems, including those used in the Iskander.
As part of its operations, the factory supplies electronic components for Russian missile armaments and air defense systems. This includes:
- Transistor assemblies and matrices for X-101 cruise missile guidance blocks;
- Semiconductor matrices for onboard digital computing machines used in the Iskander-K missile system;
- Diodes and transistor assemblies for the television channels of combat vehicles like the Pantsir-S1.
The General Staff emphasized that the products from this factory are directly used by Russian forces to manufacture precision-guided weapons, which have been employed in attacks on Ukrainian territory, resulting in civilian casualties. The destruction of this facility is expected to significantly hinder Russia’s ability to produce new missiles.
Ukrainian forces have targeted critical Russian military infrastructure, including a communications center and a missile electronics factory. These strikes aim to disrupt Russia's military capabilities amid ongoing conflict.
