Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) forces successfully struck an oil facility in Russia’s Yaroslavl region during the night of June 14. This location is situated over 700 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
In a statement on Facebook, Zelensky confirmed the operation, stating, “More than 700 kilometers from our state border – in the Yaroslavl region of Russia, SBU forces hit an oil facility.” He further elaborated on military actions in the Tula region, where Ukrainian forces targeted the “Azot” enterprise, which is crucial for the production of explosives.
The attacks have led to the imposition of flight restrictions at six Russian airports. Additionally, air raid alerts were declared across 28 regions of Russia since the previous evening.
President Zelensky also mentioned successful strikes on Russian logistics in occupied territories. Reports indicate that drones targeted areas in Russia, including a fire at the chemical plant “Azot” in the Tula region.
