Ukrainian Border Unit Destroys Russian Military Equipment in Recent Operation

In the early hours of April 5, members of the Ukrainian border unit “Phoenix” successfully targeted and destroyed several pieces of Russian military equipment in the Huliaipole area. This operation included the elimination of two Grad multiple rocket launchers, one Uragan rocket launcher, and a rare radar system known as “Zoo Park.”

The information was confirmed by the “Phoenix” unit and the press service of the State Border Guard of Ukraine. The operation highlights the ongoing conflict and the strategic efforts of Ukrainian forces to counteract Russian military capabilities.

The destroyed equipment represents a significant loss for Russian forces, with an estimated total value of approximately $28 million. The radar system “Zoo Park” is particularly noteworthy; it is considered a rare target for defense forces, with only about 15 units reported destroyed since the onset of the full-scale invasion.

This incident underscores the continuing military engagements in the region and the tactical operations being conducted by Ukrainian forces as they seek to diminish the operational effectiveness of the invading army.
