The upcoming meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council is set to take place on May 21 in Sweden, featuring an informal dinner attended by foreign ministers from member states. This gathering is part of a broader summit scheduled for May 21-22 in Helsingborg, Sweden.
According to the agenda published on the NATO website, the informal dinner will commence at 17:15 local time on the first day of the meeting. It will be hosted by Sweden’s Foreign Minister, Tobias Billström, and will also see the participation of Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, along with King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia.
The following day will feature a single session of the North Atlantic Council in a format exclusive to member countries. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is expected to hold a press conference after this session, marking the conclusion of the summit.
In late April, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukrainian representatives would attend the NATO summit scheduled for July 7-8 in Ankara, Turkey.
The Ukraine-NATO Council meeting in Sweden aims to strengthen ties between Ukraine and NATO member states. The informal dinner will precede a focused session of the North Atlantic Council, emphasizing ongoing diplomatic efforts.
