Ukraine Confirms Strike on Oil Facility in Krasnodar Krai

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has confirmed a recent strike targeting an oil facility in Krasnodar Krai, Russia. In a Telegram message, he stated, “Our new long-range sanctions have reached 500 kilometers from our state border. It is only fair to return the war to where it originated. Russia could have ended its aggression long ago, but it chose to prolong it. Another object of the Russian oil industry has been hit: Armavir, Krasnodar Krai.”

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also corroborated the strike. Earlier reports from Russian sources indicated that drones attacked the city of Armavir, but specific details remain unclear. Open-source intelligence suggested that the targeted site was the oil depot of the Southern Oil Company.

Since the onset of Russia’s full-scale invasion, various sites within Russia and territories occupied by it in Ukraine have been subjected to airstrikes. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has consistently confirmed most of these attacks, stating that the Ukrainian Defense Forces are systematically implementing measures to reduce the combat potential of Russian occupying forces and to compel Russia to cease its armed aggression against Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Zelensky has confirmed a strike on an oil facility in Krasnodar Krai, Russia, emphasizing the ongoing military response to Russian aggression. The attack aligns with Ukraine's strategy to degrade Russian military capabilities amid the ongoing conflict.
