Russian Strikes Hit Kyiv, Causing Casualties and Power Outages

In the early hours of June 15, Russian forces launched missile strikes on Kyiv, resulting in explosions throughout the city. Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported disruptions to electricity in several districts, with at least one person confirmed injured.

According to preliminary information from the mayor, residential and non-residential buildings were struck in multiple areas across the capital. Notably, a fire broke out at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, specifically on the roof of the Assumption Cathedral.

Timur Tkachенко, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, confirmed that at least one individual was injured due to the attacks. The northern part of Kyiv experienced significant power outages, affecting approximately 140,000 subscribers, with reports indicating that residents in the Vynohradar district were particularly impacted.

The situation is developing, and further updates are expected as authorities assess the damage and respond to the ongoing crisis.
