Russian Drone Strikes Target Civilian Areas in Odesa Region

In the early hours of May 3, Russian armed forces launched drone attacks on civilian infrastructure in the Odesa region of Ukraine, specifically targeting port facilities and residential areas.

According to the Odesa regional prosecutor’s office, the assault resulted in the deaths of two civilians, a 38-year-old man and a woman. Additionally, five others sustained injuries, including two elderly women aged 64 and 72, as well as three men aged 29, 56, and 69. Two of the injured individuals were subsequently hospitalized for treatment.

The attacks also caused significant damage to residential properties, with five private homes partially destroyed across two localities. This incident follows a similar attack on May 2, when Russian forces targeted port infrastructure in the same region, leading to fires and further destruction.

The recent drone strikes in the Odesa region highlight ongoing tensions and violence in the area, resulting in civilian casualties and property damage. This incident is part of a broader pattern of attacks affecting Ukrainian infrastructure amidst the ongoing conflict.
