As of the morning of April 15, parts of Ukraine continue to experience power outages due to ongoing military actions, attacks on energy infrastructure, and adverse weather conditions. This information has been confirmed by the Ministry of Energy and the national energy company, Ukrenergo.
Specifically, outages have been reported in several regions, including Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kyiv, Zaporizhia, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Kherson. Energy workers are operating under increased pressure, with emergency restoration efforts ongoing around the clock.
Additionally, seven settlements in the Sumy region remain without electricity due to the weather. Repair teams are currently working to restore power in these areas.
The Ministry of Energy has indicated that planned consumption restrictions are not currently anticipated. However, citizens are urged to conserve electricity during peak evening hours from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
According to Ukrenergo, electricity consumption has shown an upward trend, with levels on the morning of April 15 being 1.3% higher than the same time the previous day. This increase is attributed to overcast weather in certain regions, which diminishes the efficiency of residential solar power systems.
Furthermore, the daily peak consumption recorded on April 14 occurred in the evening, exceeding the previous day’s figures by 1.9%. Energy specialists recommend shifting high energy usage to daytime hours, specifically between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, when solar power systems operate most effectively.
Ongoing military actions and adverse weather conditions in Ukraine have resulted in widespread power outages across several regions. The Ministry of Energy is actively working to restore services while urging citizens to conserve energy during peak hours.
