On May 30, a significant escalation in hostilities was recorded on the eastern front, with 302 combat engagements reported. Russian forces intensified their offensive in the Kostyantynivka, Pokrovsk, and Huliaipole sectors, resulting in the loss of 1,560 personnel.
This information was detailed in the morning briefing from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on May 31. The report highlighted that the enemy conducted 81 airstrikes, deploying 270 guided bombs. Additionally, there were 9,584 drone attacks and 3,066 shelling incidents targeting both populated areas and Ukrainian positions, including 38 strikes from multiple rocket launchers.
Ukrainian aviation, missile troops, and artillery targeted a command post, an artillery system, three drone control points, and two other significant Russian military assets over the same period.
In total, on May 30, Russian military losses included not only personnel but also two tanks, 14 armored vehicles, 57 artillery systems, six multiple rocket launchers, one air defense system, 19 ground robotic complexes, 1,894 drones, 524 vehicles, and three units of specialized equipment.
Frontline Situation
In the Northeastern and Kursk directions, five clashes occurred, with Russian forces launching two airstrikes using six guided bombs and carrying out 65 shelling operations against Ukrainian positions and settlements, including two with multiple rocket launchers.
In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy launched ten attacks on Ukrainian units in the areas of Starytsia, Prylipka, Veterynarne, Lyman, as well as towards Izbytske, Okhrimivka, and Ternova.
In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian forces successfully thwarted three attempts by Russian troops to advance towards the settlements of Kurylivka, Novoosynove, and the area of Petropavlivka.
In the Lyman direction, 11 attacks were recorded against the settlements of Drobysheve, Stavky, Lyman, Ozerne, Stepove, Novosergiyivka, and in the vicinity of Yampol.
In the Sloviansk direction, Russian forces launched seven assaults in the areas of Zakittne, Kalenyky, Riznykivka, and towards Rai-Oleksandrivka and Kryva Luka.
No offensive actions were noted in the Kramatorsk direction.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, Russian troops executed 16 attacks near the settlements of Kostyantynivka, Ivanopillia, Pleschiivka, Rusyn Yar, as well as towards Rozkoshne and Stepanivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 46 assault actions in the regions of Rodynske, Zapovidne, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Udachne, Molodetske, and towards Kucheryv Yar, Toretske, Bilitske, Dorožne, Shevchenko, and Novopidhirodne.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, Russian forces conducted four attacks in the areas of Oleksandrhrad, Zlahoda, and towards Kalynivske.
In the Huliaipole direction, Russian troops launched 46 assaults in the areas of Dobropillia, Varvarivka, Zaliznychne, Olenekostyantynivka, and towards Vozdvizhivka, Vysokyi Teres, Huliaipole, and Charivne.
In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders halted one attempt by Russian forces to advance in the area of Bilohirya.
In the Dnipro direction, the Ukrainian forces successfully repelled one assault towards the Antonivskyi Bridge.
No signs of Russian offensive formations were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
