Intense Combat Reported in Ukraine: 197 Engagements on May 21

On May 21, Ukrainian forces faced significant military activity, with a total of 197 combat engagements reported by the General Staff by 10 PM. The Pokrovsk direction saw the highest intensity, with 43 attacks recorded.

The enemy launched one missile strike and conducted 64 airstrikes, dropping 184 guided bombs. Additionally, 6,063 kamikaze drones were deployed, alongside 2,279 shelling incidents targeting both populated areas and Ukrainian military positions.

In the North-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, one assault action was noted. The South-Slobozhansky direction experienced seven attacks, while five assaults occurred in the Kupiansk direction. Ukrainian forces successfully repelled three assaults in the Lyman direction.

In the Sloviansk direction, two attacks were reported. The occupiers targeted the area near Minkivka in the Kramatorsk direction. The Konstantynivka direction witnessed 19 assaults on Ukrainian positions.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy’s 43 attacks were confirmed, while five assault actions were noted in the Oleksandrivka direction. The Hulyaipole direction recorded 23 attacks, and in the Orikhiv direction, the enemy assaulted the area near Shcherbaki. Lastly, the enemy conducted three attacks in the Dniprovsk direction near the Antonivskyi Bridge.

The latest report from Ukraine's General Staff highlights a day of intense military activity, with 197 combat engagements and numerous attacks across multiple fronts. The situation remains critical as forces continue to respond to enemy assaults.
