Reports of explosions emerged from various locations in occupied Crimea on Sunday evening and into the early hours of Monday, coinciding with widespread power outages in cities including Feodosia, Kerch, and Sevastopol.
Social media channels indicated that the explosions were particularly loud in Armyansk, located in the Perekop region. Additional reports mentioned similar sounds of explosions and gunfire in other areas of Crimea, including Feodosia and Sevastopol.
Subsequently, notifications regarding power outages were confirmed across several regions of Crimea, with Feodosia, Sevastopol, and Kerch being notably affected.
On Sunday evening, occupying authorities issued warnings regarding potential drone threats in Crimea. This follows a series of recent developments related to energy supply issues, prompting the implementation of electricity consumption schedules in the region.
Prior to these incidents, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced strikes targeting facilities in Russia’s Krasnodar region and in occupied Kerch. Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, head of the drone forces, shared video evidence of strikes on a fuel depot at a terminal in occupied Kerch, expressing regret to Ukrainian citizens for the resulting alarm, closed bridges, and stress.
