On the night of April 21, Russian forces launched a significant drone strike on the city of Sumy, resulting in damage to a medical facility and residential properties. Reports indicate that multiple explosions were heard across the area, with vehicles set ablaze.
The mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar, confirmed the attacks via social media, stating, “The enemy continues to assault our city. A series of explosions occurred, with over five impacts recorded in a residential area of the Zarichne district. Windows were shattered in residential buildings, and cars are on fire.”
In addition to the damage to property, the head of the Sumy Military Administration, Serhiy Kryvosheienko, reported that four individuals sustained injuries as a result of the nighttime assault. Among the injured is a 17-year-old child, who, along with two men, has been hospitalized. Another individual received medical assistance at the scene.
