Drone Strikes Target Occupied Regions in Ukraine Overnight

In the early hours of Sunday, June 7, a series of drone strikes hit temporarily occupied territories in Ukraine, causing significant damage to critical infrastructure.

The attacks specifically targeted the Zuyivska Thermal Power Plant in Donetsk, where a fire broke out as a result. Additionally, railway infrastructure in the occupied city of Chystiakove was also struck, leading to further fires in the area.

Reports indicate that drone activity extended to the Luhansk region, where strikes damaged railway facilities and sparked fires at substations. The partisan group “Atesh” reported explosions near an oil depot in Feodosia, with additional blasts recorded in Sevastopol, Dzhankoi, and later in Simferopol.

These strikes follow a previous wave of drone attacks on the night of June 6, which targeted both Russian regions and occupied Ukrainian territories. That night, multiple fires erupted at oil depots, and damage was reported to port infrastructure in Mariupol and Kronstadt.

Recent drone strikes in occupied territories of Ukraine have caused extensive damage to energy and transport infrastructure. The attacks reflect ongoing conflict dynamics in the region, with significant implications for both military operations and civilian safety.
