Casualties Reported in Russian Strikes on Sumy Region

Two individuals have died and four others sustained injuries following a series of Russian attacks in the Sumy region of Ukraine. The National Police of Ukraine reported that 17 communities in the area were targeted over the past day.

The assaults involved the use of guided bombs, attack drones, FPV drones, artillery, and mortars. In the Bilopillia community, a 64-year-old woman was killed due to drone strikes, while two men aged 51 and 66 were injured.

In the Seredyno-Buda community, a 57-year-old woman lost her life when a Russian drone struck her home. Additionally, a 69-year-old man was injured in the Myropillia community when a drone hit his bicycle, and a 44-year-old man was hurt in the Sumy community due to another drone strike.

Authorities have documented the aftermath of these attacks, noting significant destruction and gathering evidence of potential war crimes. Criminal proceedings have been initiated under Article 438 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code for each incident.

Prior to these events, Russian forces had also targeted transportation and energy infrastructure in Mykolaiv using drones.

Recent Russian strikes in the Sumy region resulted in two fatalities and several injuries. Authorities are investigating the incidents as potential war crimes, documenting the damage caused by the attacks.
