On May 27, the Ukrainian Parliament successfully passed a resolution to accept the resignation of Volodymyr Tsabal, a member of the “Holos” party, after an initial attempt failed to secure enough votes.
The decision to terminate Tsabal’s parliamentary mandate received support from 257 lawmakers.
Tsabal submitted his resignation in April. The first attempt to vote on the matter occurred on May 12, but the motion did not garner sufficient support at that time. It was only during the second vote that the parliament approved his resignation.
Background on Tsabal reveals that he was born on April 25, 1985, in Kremenets, located in the Ternopil region. He obtained an economic education from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and later earned an MBA from the prestigious INSEAD business school.
Tsabal began his professional career at major international firms, including roles at “Tetra Pak Ukraine,” “Nestlé Ukraine,” and its subsidiaries in Greece and Bulgaria. From 2008 to 2019, he served as an associate partner at McKinsey & Company.
In 2019, he was elected as a member of the 9th convocation of the Verkhovna Rada, representing the “Holos” party, where he was ranked twelfth on the party list.
The Ukrainian Parliament has officially accepted the resignation of MP Volodymyr Tsabal after a previous vote failed. Tsabal, who has a background in international business and consulting, was first elected in 2019.
