Russian Drone Strike Damages Grain Elevator in Khmelnytskyi Region

On May 18, a Russian drone attack targeted the Khmelnytskyi region of Ukraine, resulting in significant damage to a grain elevator operated by Kernel. The assault led to the destruction of storage facilities, causing a portion of the grain to spill out.

According to company officials, no injuries were reported among the staff at the facility following the strike. Currently, specialists are on-site assessing the extent of the damage and estimating the financial losses incurred. Cleanup efforts are also underway to address the aftermath of the attack.

Throughout the night leading up to May 18, the Khmelnytskyi region experienced several hours of drone assaults, prompting multiple air raid alerts. Local air defense forces successfully intercepted 29 enemy drones during the operation.

A recent drone strike in the Khmelnytskyi region has damaged a grain elevator, leading to grain spillage but no reported injuries. Cleanup and damage assessments are currently in progress.
