In a significant effort to restore electricity, DTEK has successfully reconnected power to more than 453,000 households affected by hostile attacks over the past week. The company reported that it managed to partially restore electricity in 400 communities.
The most substantial progress was made in Donetsk region, where 178,200 families regained access to electricity. Meanwhile, in Odesa region, repair crews restored power to 161,000 households that had been left without electricity due to attacks.
Additionally, last week, DTEK energized homes for 114,600 families who had also been impacted by Russian strikes. The company emphasized its commitment to addressing the aftermath of these attacks as swiftly as possible.
DTEK stated that its teams begin restoration work immediately upon receiving permission and access to the damaged areas from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service.
For context, back in March, DTEK successfully restored electricity for 2.4 million households that had been without power due to ongoing hostilities.
