Currency Trends Shift: Euro Rises While Dollar Declines in Ukraine

On May 4, a notable divergence in currency trends emerged in Ukraine, with the euro experiencing a significant increase while the US dollar continued to lose value at major banks.

Euro Surge: In PrivatBank, the card exchange rate for the euro jumped by 27 kopecks to 52.08 UAH, while Monobank reported an increase of 24 kopecks to 52.05 UAH.

Dollar Decline: The dollar’s value has dropped further, with PrivatBank adjusting its cash rate to 44.10 UAH and Oschadbank maintaining a rate of 44.15 UAH in its app.

Exchange Offices: Over the weekend, the dollar saw a slight increase in price, available for purchase at 43.88 UAH. The euro also rose in exchange offices, now priced at 51.75 UAH.

Card Rates: The most favorable dollar rate for card transactions is currently offered by PUMB at 44.10 UAH and Oschadbank at 44.15 UAH.

As of May 4, according to Minfin, the average dollar exchange rate in exchange offices stands at 43.88 UAH for buying and 43.75 UAH for selling. Compared to Friday, May 1, the dollar has increased by 8 and 5 kopecks, respectively.

The euro can be purchased in exchange offices at an average rate of 51.75 UAH, with a selling rate of 51.50 UAH. This marks a rise of 15 and 10 kopecks over the weekend.

Bank Exchange Rates: Today, banks are selling dollars at an average rate of 44.15 UAH (down 7 kopecks) and buying at 43.70 UAH (down 7 kopecks).

The euro can be bought at banks for 51.85 UAH (up 5 kopecks) and sold for 51.20 UAH (up 10 kopecks).

PrivatBank is selling dollars at 44.10 UAH (down 10 kopecks) in cash and 44.24 UAH (unchanged) for card transactions. The euro can be purchased at the bank for 51.95 UAH (up 15 kopecks) in cash and 52.08 UAH (up 27 kopecks) for card payments.

Oschadbank offers dollars at 44.15 UAH (unchanged) in its mobile app, with a card rate of 44.25 UAH (down 5 kopecks). The euro can be bought at 51.90 UAH (up 10 kopecks) in the mobile app and 52.10 UAH (up 10 kopecks) for card payments.

At PUMB, dollars are priced at 44.30 UAH (unchanged) in cash and 44.10 UAH (unchanged) for cards. The euro remains at 51.90 UAH (unchanged) in bank branches.

Monobank is selling dollars at 44.23 UAH (unchanged) and euros at 52.05 UAH (up 24 kopecks).
