Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on citizens to remain vigilant and responsive to air raid alerts, citing ongoing threats of missile strikes. He emphasized the importance of heeding warnings as intelligence reports indicate a potential for large-scale attacks.
Zelensky noted that discussions have taken place between Ukraine’s partners and Russian officials regarding the possibility of such attacks. However, he expressed skepticism about any change in Moscow’s intentions.
“It is crucial to be attentive to any threat and air raid signals. The information from intelligence regarding a possible massive strike remains relevant. We know that partners have spoken with the Russians about this. There is no faith that anyone in Moscow will reconsider. Please take care of your lives and respond to dangers,”
he stated.
The President also reassured the public that Ukraine’s air defense forces, mobile fire groups, and combat aviation are prepared to the best of their ability, considering current supply levels.
Zelensky highlighted that Ukrainian forces have successfully intercepted over 90% of Iranian-made Shahed drones. He mentioned ongoing efforts to enhance capabilities against missiles in collaboration with international partners.
“The interception rate of Shahed drones by our forces is consistently above 90%, ranging from 90 to 93%. Regarding cruise missiles and ballistic threats, we are working with all partners to secure new contributions to the PURL program and exploring other means to acquire missiles. I thank everyone who is assisting us,”
he concluded.
