Ukrainian Forces Target Russian Oil Facility in Vladimir Region

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has reported a successful drone strike on the “Vtorovo” linear production and dispatch station in Russia’s Vladimir region. This facility plays a crucial role in the network of main oil product pipelines, primarily transporting diesel fuel from central Russian refineries to export ports and domestic consumers.

According to SBU officials, the station is vital for supplying fuel to oil depots around Moscow and major airports, including Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, and Vnukovo. The attack reportedly resulted in a significant fire covering an area of 800 square meters.

As of now, Russian authorities have not commented on the drone strike. The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that 33 Ukrainian drones were allegedly destroyed across various regions of Russia during the night, but did not mention the incident in Vladimir.

This is not the first time the “Vtorovo” station has been targeted; a previous drone attack in September last year resulted in damage to two storage tanks and four administrative buildings. Since the onset of Russia’s full-scale invasion, various sites within Russia have been subjected to aerial strikes, with the Ukrainian General Staff confirming many of these attacks as part of ongoing efforts to diminish the combat capabilities of Russian occupying forces and to pressure Russia to cease its military aggression against Ukraine.

The SBU has confirmed a drone attack on a key oil facility in Russia's Vladimir region, causing significant damage. This incident highlights ongoing hostilities and Ukraine's strategy to undermine Russian military supply lines.
