Ukrainian defense forces successfully struck a Russian position in central Pokrovsk, disrupting their air reconnaissance and drone operations.
Military sources reported that a precise airstrike targeted a facility in the city center, which had been used by Russian forces as a launch point for attack drones, specifically the “Molniya” type, as well as a base for aerial reconnaissance units.
According to the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces, this strike has significantly hindered the enemy’s drone operations in the area, reducing their capabilities for reconnaissance and offensive actions.
Despite these setbacks, Russian forces continue to attempt to consolidate their strength in Pokrovsk, aiming to maintain offensive operations in the region under the jurisdiction of Ukrainian airborne units.
One of the ongoing priorities for the Russian military remains the expansion of their drone command network within the city limits.
To achieve this, they are reportedly utilizing civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings, concrete shelters, basements, and entrances to buildings.
Ukrainian military officials emphasize their commitment to systematically identifying and destroying such concealed enemy targets.
The situation in the Pokrovsk area remains tense due to the persistent pressure from Russian forces. Recently, Ukrainian military representatives refuted claims by DeepState analysts regarding the supposed full occupation of the city.
The 7th Rapid Reaction Corps confirmed that defensive operations in Pokrovsk are ongoing, with Ukrainian units steadfastly holding their positions on the northern outskirts.
In response to ongoing enemy assaults, the command of the defense forces is deploying additional technological resources. The 7th Corps has collaborated with the renowned 414th Separate Brigade of the “Madjar Birds” and the special unit Lasar’s Group.
This collaboration aims to enhance counter-battery efforts and aerial reconnaissance in the Pokrovsk agglomeration. Joint drone crews are focused on detecting and neutralizing enemy artillery and their drone launch sites, which the Russians are attempting to accumulate to support their offensive.
Ukrainian forces have successfully targeted a key Russian drone operation site in Pokrovsk, significantly disrupting enemy reconnaissance capabilities. Despite ongoing tensions and attempts by Russian troops to consolidate their presence, Ukrainian units remain resolute in their defense efforts.
