Ukrainian Armed Forces to Implement Regular Soldier Rotations Every Two Months

The Ukrainian military is set to establish a structured rotation system for its soldiers, allowing for three shifts every two months. This initiative aims to enhance operational effectiveness in combat zones.

Military leadership has meticulously calculated the personnel required to maintain a steady presence in frontline brigades, as well as the forces deployed in ground operations. General Syrsky emphasized, “There are a significant number of servicemen in combat areas… We have all the conditions to create three shifts and prepare the rotation team that will replace the outgoing personnel.”

To ensure the effectiveness of these rotations, the Armed Forces plan to conduct monthly evaluations. Specific deadlines have already been set for this purpose.

General Syrsky noted, “I have designated the 15th of each month as the date for monitoring the rotation process.” Currently, working groups are assessing how brigades track personnel at the front lines and the duration of their deployment in combat positions. Syrsky added that it is crucial to clarify the details regarding those who will be replaced and to establish a reliable control system.

Additionally, President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced plans for a comprehensive reform of the armed forces, indicating that demobilization opportunities for certain military personnel may be available later this year.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are implementing a new rotation system for soldiers, facilitating regular shifts every two months to improve operational readiness. This initiative, confirmed by military leadership, aligns with broader reforms in the armed forces announced by President Zelensky.
