Russian military operations in the Dnipro direction are increasingly hampered by logistical challenges, particularly on the temporarily occupied left bank of the Kherson region. This assessment comes from Evgeny Kravchenko, commander of the second artillery battery of the 34th Separate Marine Brigade, as reported by Armyinform.
Kravchenko stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are systematically targeting the enemy’s supply routes, significantly disrupting the movement of personnel, ammunition, and essential supplies to the front lines. “The enemy is currently facing severe difficulties on the left bank of occupied Kherson. We are preventing them from reaching the front lines and resupplying. Logistics have become challenging not only to the front but also across the occupied Kherson region,” he explained.
In recent weeks, Russian military vehicles have been scarcely observed in the brigade’s area of responsibility. When movements do occur, they are primarily on foot and often require lengthy detours.
Despite these setbacks, Russian artillery continues to bombard the right bank of Kherson. However, the threat of Ukrainian artillery and FPV drones has compelled the enemy to withdraw its firepower. The most significant challenges for Ukrainian forces currently stem from towed artillery pieces, which the occupiers are camouflaging in the Oleshky Sands area. While they are also deploying multiple rocket launch systems, these positions are quickly identified and targeted.
Ukrainian defenders are particularly focused on countering enemy drone operators that attack Kherson and surrounding areas. Thanks to coordinated actions by the Defense Forces, a significant number of Russian FPV drones and other UAVs are being intercepted before they reach the city.
In related developments, residents of the temporarily occupied Crimea have been advised to evacuate due to increased Ukrainian strikes on Russian military sites and the heightened risk of forced mobilization into the occupying army. Additionally, on June 20, Ukrainian forces targeted a road bridge over the Henichesk Strait near Henichesk, a vital logistical route for Russian troops in the southern front.
During this attack, a Russian “Pantsir-S” complex and drone control points were also struck near Dolynske. Overall, the continuous assaults by the Ukrainian Armed Forces have placed the logistics of the occupying forces in southern Ukraine in a critical state. Satellite imagery indicates ongoing successful strikes on bridges in the areas of Armyansk, Chonhar, and Henichesk.
Due to significant damage to key crossings, Russian troops are urgently constructing embankments and deploying pontoon bridges in an attempt to maintain their supply lines for weapons and equipment.
Russian forces in the Kherson region are facing severe logistical issues, hampering their operations as Ukrainian strikes target critical supply routes. The situation has forced the occupiers to adapt by constructing makeshift crossings while struggling to move personnel and equipment effectively.
