Ukrainian Forces Target Oil Facility in Russia’s Krasnodar Region

In the early hours of June 6, Ukrainian defense units launched an attack on an oil depot located in Russia’s Krasnodar region. This information was confirmed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky via Telegram.

Zelensky noted that the strike, termed as part of Ukraine’s “long-range sanctions,” successfully reached a target approximately 500 kilometers away from Ukraine’s borders. Additionally, he reported an attack on the Russian Baltic Fleet’s naval base in Kronstadt, situated near Saint Petersburg, which is about 1,000 kilometers from Ukraine.

During his address, Zelensky emphasized the ongoing nature of the conflict, stating, “This war needs to end. However, the Russian leadership seeks to continue fighting. Therefore, Ukrainian sanctions are responding to this aggression.” He highlighted the effective collaboration among Ukraine’s armed forces, security services, and intelligence agencies, asserting that any injustices against Ukraine will be met with appropriate responses.

Earlier reports from the Unified Dispatch Service of the Ust-Labinsk district in Krasnodar confirmed that drones had struck the “Poltavskaya” oil depot, resulting in a fire at the facility.

Ukrainian forces executed a drone strike on an oil depot in Krasnodar, Russia, and targeted a naval base in Kronstadt. President Zelensky confirmed these actions as part of Ukraine's response to ongoing aggression.
